A Chinese steel plant improved ladle truck alignment with the steel outlet by integrating a Dimetix Laser Distance Sensor. Installed at the track’s start, the sensor provides real-time position tracking with 1 mm accuracy over 100 m (up to 500 m with reflective foil) and withstands high heat, dust, and vibrations. This upgrade boosts safety, accuracy, and efficiency in molten steel transfer.
